get dirty,clean,repeat
Re: Walian bridge project
There is now a gate on the Walian fsr. We are now waiting for access to continue the bridge build . Sat looks like it may be a rain out anyway unless there is some water mitigation .
Re: Walian bridge project
We need to take a ride up to the bridge site tomorrow and co-ordinate things with the logging contractors up there...mainly because tomorrow afternoon is the only break in the weather ... supposed to be a bit of sun in the afternoon and then rain all weekend.
So the plan is to head out to Grace lake for around 11am and make a run up to the bridge site.
Anyone like to come?..please pm here!

Re: Walian bridge project
Update:
We are all set for this coming Saturday. ( Nov 26th) for delivery and assembly of this new bridge. ( Not installation )
If you know how to pull a wrench or pound a bolt , and willing to do some lifting , please let us know right here so we can organize food and drink for all. (Hamburgers, hotdogs, coffee, pop, water etc)
The main Gate at the bottom of Walian FSR going up to the site will only be opened for our group at 10:00am and that's it...so we will be meeting at Grace lake (south side..on your right) at 9:00am...and leaving as a convoy at 9:30am sharp.
If you are late , you won't be able to get up there!
FYI, there is now a locked chain preventing access to the lower bridge until logging is finished in early spring since there will be no trails open up there anyway.
Rain, snow or shine, we are prepared and this bridge WILL get assembled .
We aren't sure exactly what day it will get installed (by a large excavator) other than that there is a commitment to place it before Christmas, which will posted when its known.
So who's up for this?
