Mile High Lake Resort

Post by itsmeken » Sun Feb 12, 2012 10:58 pm

Its about 3 hours from Vancouver..we always stop in Merritt for groceries then its 25 minutes on hwy5 to the Lac La Jeune exit, double back across the bridge and go down the old Logan lake road for about 3 km's . Look for the paved turnoff on your right, its well marked. Stay on the main road (paved for the first 10km or so and you'll drive past Pasca lake campsite on your right...another 1/2 km and you'll see the well marked entrance to Mile High (actually Face Lake).
The owners are atv friendly but there is a designated parking area for atv's, which are not permitted to race around the cabin/camping area. TONS of trails in the area that go forever!
Rent the cabin of your choice depending on what level of comfort you wish, all you need is bedding and food.
Decent fishing in the lake in early spring .
Excellent location for winter sledding ...and rental sleds delivered from Kamloops.(atv's available as well, which is how I got into this sport)
They keep a pretty good stock of food/clothing goodies you forgot to bring in the office.

Its Exit 336 (lac La Jeunne) on Hwy 5 ( Coquilhalla), and the turn-off on the old Logan lake road is "Paska lake road"
Bob and Tash own it, and you can meet them at the upcoming Sportsmans show in Abby, booth#320

We stayed there 3 summers ago with the kids.It was a great area to ride, with lots of trails that were good for the kids aswell .They rent boats with and without motors. Kids and us had a blast fishing and quading. I recommend booking early.
