Hello to all,

Im a newby to the ATV world, passed the safety course etc now looking for trails to ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery

I'm looking to tap into the knowledge bank of expierenced riders, I've visited the http://www.quadcorral.com/placestoride/directory and found a few riding areas close to me. Over the weekend I drove over to scope out the Blue River OHV area and noticed there is a gate to the entrance to the area. Does this gate open during the warmer months of the year or are ATV'ers supposed to use the tiny entrance by the gate. I have a Honda Rubicon 500 and was unsure if my ATV will make it through the cement brick entrance.

I live in the Surrey area and was wondering if there is any area within 100 KM radius that has a campground (full hook up / dry camp ) very close to a ATV trail, so my wife and I can park the motorhome and head out on the ATV.

Thanks for any assistance :D

Hello Alex,

Welcome to the ATV world. It is a great and fun place to be.

I myself am not familiar with the Blue River OHV area. However some of the other members in our club might be.

As a club we tend to ride locally mostly in the West Harrison, Chilliwack and Mission area.

If you are on this forum, you are in a great place. Are you a member of our club as well? We will be having our first annual get together at the end of this month at Harmsworth Hall in Langley on Wednesday Feb. 22nd. That would be a great place to go to meet some new faces and other riders from the lower mainland.

You can visit our website LMATV.com as well as our facebook page LMATV club.

As far as camping goes in the area where you can ATV from. There is Grace Lake and other campgrounds in the West Harrison Area that accomodate your Motor home as well as being able to ride from your campsite. You won't get the full hook ups though, but if you are used to dry camping that is a great place to start.
There is also the Chilliwack area to camp and ATV from.

As a club, we will be going to Logan Lake on May long weekend and I am sure you and your wife would really enjoy the weekend of camping and quading in that area.

The best place to start up a conversation would be at our Club Get Together though.

Hope to see you there!

Katherine :)
